简介：Song Yingxing, courtesy name Changgeng, was born in Fengxin, Jiangxi Province. He was the author of "Tiangong Kaiwu" and was a famous agriculturist in the late Ming Dynasty. He also conducted extensive research on handicraft production and metallurgy. Natural disasters continued in the late Ming Dynasty, and the production of rice and millet was too little to feed the people. Although potatoes, sweet potatoes, and corn had been introduced to the Ming Dynasty, they were not sown on a large scale.
